one of the newer ad campaigns that i feel is very effective is the iTouch commercials that show several clips displaying the abilities and applications followed by an adjective describing them (ie. adventurous, studious, playful) i think it's affective because it shows the hands aswell as the apps so it makes it seems like they would actually have a use. it makes it seem more important and almost even a necessity.

during the time that Alex and John spent with our voices class i learned ways to disect and analyze commercials and clips from movies, and even find better ways to write and organise my own ideas. i plan on using a clip from the movie Friday to analyze. The clip will be of Ice Cube and Chris Tucker sitting out side of the house and observe several things around the neighborhood that are happening and it seems like a normal thing to them. i think media literacy is imporant to understand the aims of the movie and to understand what some of the imagery and subtext are.
